A THREE-YEAR-OLD girl of Mushindamo District of North-Western province has been admitted to hospital after she was sexually abused by a 17-year-old boy.
The victim was grabbed by the juvenile suspect believed to be mentally challenged while she was playing with friends.
The suspect then dragged her into a bush, while her friends scampered and then sexually abused her, tearing her vaginal opening.
North-Western province commanding officer Dennis Moola who confirmed the sad occurrence to Mwebantu said the incident happened in Lamba village area of Mushindamo district.
Mr Moola said the victim sustained a severe cut on her private parts and general body pains.
“Brief facts indicate that the victim was playing with her friends along the roadside when the suspect approached them. The children then ran away, as he is believed to be mentally unstable. The suspect however, managed to get hold on one the victim and took her into a nearby bush where he had carnal knowledge of her,” he said.
He said one of the children, an older brother to the victim, ran and informed his grandmother what happened.
Mr Moola said when the victim’s grandmother rushed to the scene, she found the juvenile coming out of a nearby bush and he ran away upon seeing her.
“She entered the bush where the suspect came from and the victim on the ground, her dress pulled up, with blood on her private parts and dress. She shouted for help and the suspect was apprehended by members of the community,” he said.
Mr Moola said the victim was rushed to a Mini Hospital where she was examined and given medical treatment.
