PRESIDENT Edgar Chagwa Lungu has fired Sports Minister Hon. Moses Mawere and replaced him with Ndola Central Constituency MP, Hon Emmanuel Mulenga.
In a statement issued at State House by Special Assistant for Press and Public Relations, Isaac Chipampe. Chipampe stated that President Lungu has carried out a ministerial reshuffle to revamp work in the ministries.
He has moved Hon.Prof Nkandu Luo to Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock while Hon. Brian Mushimba is the new Minister of Higher Education.
President Lungu has also moved Hon. Ronald Chitotela to Ministry of Tourism.
The new Minister of Housing and Infrastructure is Hon. Vincent Mwale.
Hon. Silvier Chalikosa has been moved to Ministry of Works & Supply while Olipah Phiri is the new Minister in the Office of the Vice President.
Hon Mutotwe Kafwaya has been moved to Ministry of Communications and Transport.
Hon Charles Banda has moved to Ministry of Local Government while Hon Kampamba Mulenga-Chewe moves to Ministry of Community Development.
President Lungu has also appointed Dr. Francis Chipimo as Deputy Governor at Bank of Zambia replacing Dr. Bwalya Ngandu.
President Lungu said the reshuffles were done to revamp work in the ministries. He also expressed concern that cabinet ministers were not visiting constituencies to monitor government programs and projects. and projects

PF demands that police arrest UPND officials that caused injuries and damage to property in Lusaka
THE Patriotic Front has called on the Zambia Police to arrest Opposition UPND cadres that damaged property and caused widespread injuries to PF members and members of the Public.
Secretary General Hon Davies Mwila has stated that before approval for a public procession is granted, marshalls sign guarantees that such a procession will be peaceful and without violence and disturbances.
Mr. Mwila has called on the Police to arrest and charge the UPND Marshalls and hold them accountable for the destruction to public property and injuries.
He said the Public Order Act provides for marshalls to be accountable to public procession that are conducted.
Mr. Mwila has praised the PF members in Lusaka for acting with utmost restraint and refusing to retaliate against the UPND.
He said the party was scaling up its political activities that will include road shows and door-to-door but will be Covid-19 compliant.

Police arrest man for pulling down and destroying campaign materials belonging to PF
POLICE in Lusaka have arrested a 23 year old man for pulling down and destroying campaign materials belonging to the Patriotic Front Mandevu aspiring Member of Parliament.
In a media statement issued, Police spokesperson Esther Katongo said Joseph Sakala of angels area, Kabanana compound has been detained in police custody awaiting court appearance.
“This is reported to have occured on 11th June, 2021 at 16 30 hours in Chazanga Compound at Angel’s Clinic,” Mrs Katongo said.
She further reminded all political party sympathizers to avoid destroying other political party campaign materials as the act is criminal.
