PF infighting deepens, as Lusambo accuses Miles Sampa of siding with the UPND.

THE infighting in the Patriotic Front (PF) has deepened with former Kabushi Member of Parliament Bowman Lusambo welcoming the decision by the former ruling party to suspend Miles Sampa.

Mr Lusambo said it was immature for Mr Sampa to hold a press conference where he praised President Hakainde Hichilema and accused some PF members of being corrupt.

He said the opposition political party is a membership organization and just like every membership organization,it has a set of rules and principles that binds all its members.

Mr Lusambo said the Matero Mp crossed the line when he started heaping praise on the UPND, claiming the UPND is running a nonfunctional government which has brought misery to Zambians.

“Sampa’s deceitful and self-serving nature is manifesting. They say, just like pregnancy, character is difficult to hide, it always pops up. For all the things my brother Miles Sampa has been through politically, one would have expected, he would have learnt a thing or two. But in his true nature, he fully exposed his political immaturity when he held his so-called press conference last Saturday.

“In a typical Miles Sampa style, went on rampage praising President Hichilema and the UPND and somehow attempted to confirm that some PF Ministers were corrupt,” Mr Lusambo said.

Mr Lusambo has  doubted if there is a way back for Mr Sampa into the PF.

“It was however difficult to tell whether he was going or coming but the only thing that was certain from his press conceive was his uncertainty about who he is and what he stands for,” he said.

He has accused Mr Sampa for betraying Zambians by siding with the UPND.

“This is the greatest betrayal of the Zambian people by a person who draws a salary by representing their interests in Parliament. Not only did Miles betray the Zambians, he also poured scorn on thousands of PF members who gave suffered atrocities at the hands of the UPND government,” he charged.

HAKAINDE HICHILEMA: No one person is bigger than Zambia; we should put all our differences aside and work for the common good

UPND President Hakainde Hichilema says it is time for the opposition and the ruling political party to put their differences aside and hold unconditional dialogue.

Hichilema says those that want to put conditions should be left behind and that those that wish for the dialogue should convene and find solutions to problems that are affecting Zambians.

“It’s time we had dialogue, unconditional dialogue. We are nationalists’ dear colleagues, these are times when we should put all our differences aside and work for the common good. If others are putting conditions, they can be left behind and let those that are willing, who are the majority anyway, convene and find solutions to problems that are affecting us as a country,” Hichilema says.

Hichilema says UPND is not interested in the Government of National Unit (GNU) because those terms are used for failed states.

“This is not time to be talking about Governments of National Unit (GNU), those terms are used for failed states. And UPND will not be interested in such a government,” he says.

“The PF and UPND are sitting on opposite sides of the political ideology, how can someone even think of such a thing? For the record it is not UPND that mentioned such a thing and we are not interested.”

He says that no one person is bigger than Zambia, hence the need to start dialogue immediately.

“As UPND we are not putting any conditions to any dialogue, all we are interested in is that the country must begin to talk,” Hichilema adds.

A talking country is a progressive country. Colleagues, I leave it to you out there to actualise the dialogue with whoever is interested and UPND stands ready to lead the coalition of the willing if the Government is not interested.”
