LEICESTER City coach Enzo Maresca has said he doesn’t know what the future holds for Patson Daka at the club after a failed move away from the Championship side.
Daka was linked with a move away from Leicester but deal to Bournemouth collapsed 25 minutes before the close of the transfer window on September 1.
Now, Daka finds himself in a situation where he has to fight for a place in the Leicester squad or embrace a challenge away from England and sign for a team in a league where the transfer window is still open.
Belgium, Turkey, Switzerland, and Saudi Arabia transfer windows are still open, all it takes is for a team to express interest in the player and reach an agreement with Leicester.
Daka has a contract with Leicester until 2026.
Maresca who has successfully managed to freeze Daka out of the Leicester team said he doesn’t know what the future holds for the Chipolopolo striker at the club.
He also said he is not sure about the details of the failed moves.
“Probably sometimes you try to do something and sometimes it doesn’t happen,” Maresca said when asked why Daka’s move had not gone through. “To be honest, I don’t know (if he could still leave).”
On Saturday, Leicester posted their first loss in the Championship season after going down 1 – 0 to Hull City.
