During trial, the court heard evidence from the victim’s mother who narrated that she only discovered that her daughter had been defilement when she learnt that the juvenile was more than five months pregnant.
Evidence is that on the material day around 15:00hours in Matero, the victim was in the company of her father heading to the market where he wanted to buy her some shoes near Mandevu junction.
The father found that the price of the shoes was too high for his budget before asking the daughter to return home since he would only purchase the shoe the following day.
On her way back, the juvenile met two strange men at a junction where her father conducts his business from.
The men called her by her name and told her that her father asked them to take her to her purpoted grandmother’s place in Chaisa Township.
The court heard that the victim followed the men who took her to an old woman’s residence in Chaisa, whom, upon arrival asked the victim to enter the house.
One of the two men also entered the house and closed the door and took her to a room where he ordered her to undress before removing a knife and threatened to stab her if she scream.
The other man who was outside also entered the house and the two men took turns in defiling the pupil before escorting her back home.
The child’s mother narrated that she only released that her child had been defiled after her neighbour informed her that the victim was pregnant before the victim narrated how she was sexually abused.
