Red Arrows win the Charity Shield Cup



RED Arrows Football club has won the Carling Black Label Samuel ‘ZOOM’ Ndhlovu Charity Shield Cup after beating NAPSA Stars 1-0 at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka last week Saturday.

Zambia Air Force (ZAF) Commander Lieutenant General Colin Barry had since applauded them and assured the club continued support to help equip them for more wins.

Lt Gen Barry during the shield presentation said the Charity Shield victory demonstrates that the Red Arrows Football Club are indeed the true champions of the Zambian Game.

He said the milestone comes at the right time when the Super League and CAF games are just on schedule.

“The Club President, the Technical Bench and Team Captains, this victory comes with a feel of greatness which clearly goes to show that Red Arrows Football Club are indeed the true champions of the Zambian game. It also comes at the right time when the season is starting which is a great motivation for the boys to go into the season with the correct mind frame and high morale for winning,” he said.

And Red Arrows Football Club President, Colonel Moses Kambimbi shared sentiments with Red Arrows Football Club Captain, Benedict Chepeshi in thanking the Air Force for the continued support rendered to the club that made it possible for the team to perform well.

“We pledge to pay back the Air Force and other sponsors by winning more trophies and reaching the group stages of the Champion’s League which will see to lifting the Air Force flag even higher,” he said.

The Presentation was also attended by the Zambia Air Force Deputy Commander and Chief of Air Staff (COAIRS), Maj Gen Oscar Nyoni, the Chief of Training, Brig Gen Kamima Nyirenda and Director Sports, Col Muyemba who also threw their weight to tip the Super League and Charity Shield Champions to return the Super League Championship and win the ABSA Cup which they lost to the now Charity Shied Runners Up NAPSA Stars.

The Charity Shield was worth K250,000.00 and the winners walked away with K100,000.00 while the runners up bag K75,000.00.

Red Arrows Striker, Joseph Phiri’s 31 minute goal scooped him the Man of the Match Prize of K25,000.00.

Sarago unveils new Trident F.C kit 



Eden University National League side Trident Football Club has received a major boost ahead of the upcoming the 2022/23 season with the arrival of new kit sponsored by Sarago Motors.

As part of its two year sponsorship, Sarago Motors logo will feature on the front of the club’s first team’s shirts for both home and away matches.

The new kit was unveiled on Saturday at an exciting music festival at Sentinel Grounds in Kalumbila District attended by officials from Sarago Motors, First Quantum Trident Minerals and community leaders with top artiste Afunika performing.

Luonde Kyanamina, Chief Operating Officer for Sarago Motors, said: “This is a really exciting next step in our relationship with the club and FQM Trident Limited.”

Ms. Kyanamina said the sponsorship is part of Sarago Motor’s commitment to helping local communities and investing time and resources into causes that make a difference.

Kyanamina stated that Sarago believes the new kit bearing the company’s brand will go a long way in motivating the team to reach higher levels of performance and challenged Trident F.C to win promotion to the FAZ Super League next season and stay there.

And FQM Trident Ltd General Manager Junior Keysey said: “We’re delighted and excited to be able to confirm Sarago Motors as our new shirt sponsors. Trident F.C President Mainza Mazuba welcomed the new kit urging the players and the technical staff to repay the faith that Sarago has exhibited in the team by winning promotion to the FAZ Super League.

“We have no excuse now to fail. The sponsor has come on board and stretched the hand even further and we have to reciprocate this favour by winning matches on the pitch until we get into the Super League,” he said.

Founded in 2015, Trident Football Club plays in the FAZ Eden University National League and is nicknamed The Conquerors.

The team kicks off the 2022/2023 season with a home fixture against Lusaka Dynamos on August 20th 2022.

Sarago Motors to be unveiled as new Trident F.C kit sponsor



ZAMBIA’s premier automotive dealer Sarago Motors will this Saturday, July 30th 2022 be unveiled as the new shirt sponsor for Trident Football Club for the upcoming 2022/23 season.

Sarago Motors logo will be on the front of the shirts and the entire training kit for the first team for both home and away matches as part of a two year kit sponsorship deal.

The stylish new kit will be unveiled at a music festival at Sentinel Grounds, the home of Trident Football Club in Kalumbila District with Sarago Motors, FQM Trident Ltd and Club officials and local stakeholders present.

Sarago Motors Chief Operating Officer Luonde Kyanamina said the decision to partner with Trident F.C is meant to help foster the continued development of football.

Ms. Kyanamina added: “We are delighted to be supporting Trident F.C as shirt sponsor in the forthcoming season.
