UNKNOWN criminals in Lusaka West have stolen 48 goats valued at over K23,000 from a kraal.
The criminals are also alleged to have slaughtered three other goats and left the carcass on the scene within the kraal.
Police spokesperson Esther Katongo has since appealed to members of the public who could have information that may lead to the apprehension of the suspects to report to any nearest police.
“Police are investigating a matter of stock theft in which unknown criminals stole 48 goats valued at over K23, 000, property of female adult Allen Mwamba aged 36 of Lusaka West,” she said.
Meanwhile, Police in Kaputa of Northern Province are investigating a matter in which unknown people swindled a woman identified as Scholar Kasikuti aged 23 out of K1, 895 through mobile money.
She said the victim was deceived by unknown person pretending to be an employees of MTN that she was a lucky winner of a sum of K2,000 in an MTN competition and asked her to give them her personal details.
“Members of the public are therefore advised to be security conscious and avoid giving personal or bank details to unknown people running unverified promotions,” Mrs Katongo said.
