Police in Chongwe arrest four suspects behind the house breakings in the Township



POLICE in Chongwe have recovered various stolen items and arrested four (4) suspects behind the house breakings that have been happening in the Township.

Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo disclosed in a statement that after investigations were launched, it led to the arrest of the four suspects who were renting a house in Lubuko village, in Chieftainess Nkomesha of Chongwe District.

Katongo identified the suspects as Happy Nyirenda aged 24 years, Chiford Tembo aged 23, Geoffrey Banda aged 18 and Amos Ngombe aged 17 years.

And Katongo said police have recovered various assorted goods among them fridges, plasma TVs, and mattresses.

She said all the suspects are detained in police custody and will appear in court soon.

Meanwhile, Katongo has appealed to members of the public who could have had their properties stolen to go to Chongwe police to help identify the recovered properties.

Lt Nigel Mwaba was notoriously violent, he brutally beat up his 1st wife and locked her in the house to die, sources say



PRELIMINARY investigations have revealed that late Dr Tasila Tembo’s boyfriend was notoriously violent as his first marriage ended when he brutally beat up his wife, locked her in the house to die and was later discovered by the neighbours who took her to the hospital.

And information has emerged that before her disappearance, Dr Tembo called her boyfriend to end the relationship but that did not go well with him.

The two were allegedly cohabiting for three years

Two weeks ago when Dr Tembo phoned her boyfriend that she was ending their relationship, Lt Mwaba travelled to Kasama to try and reconcile with her.

The couple then travelled back to Lusaka where Dr Tembo planned to inform her relatives about her decision to end the relationship.

However, on October 24, Lt Mwaba who had gone out arrived home at midnight and allegedly lied to his girlfriend that he wanted to go and pick up his car which was left at Total filling station on ibex main street.

He allegedly asked Dr Tembo to escort him using her motor vehicle. However, due to the rift that was there between the two, Dr Tembo asked her younger brother Lonjezo Tembo aged 30 to accompany them.

When they reached total filling station Lt Mwaba asked the brother in law to go and buy some beers and bread from the shop but when he went back he found that they had left and immediately their phones were switched off.

Meanwhile, preliminary investigations conducted so far reveals that that Lt Mwaba has been to Mazabuka and Nampundwe.

Further, Road Development Agency has been written to conduct a search at toll gates to show where he might have headed.

Dr Tasila Tembo, 47, was beheaded, police say as they look for her boyfriend aged 33 of the Zambia Army



POLICE in Lusaka have confirmed the death of Dr Tasila Tembo aged 47 and said her body was discovered in a decomposed state covered with leaves in Nanking Army Training Centre in Mikango Barracks area.
Acting Police Spokesperson Danny Mwale in a statement said the police have since launched a man-hunt for the suspect identified as Lieutenant Nigel Mwaba aged 33 of Zambia Army in Lusaka.
“Police in Lusaka received a report of a missing person in which it was reported that a female identified as Dr. Tasila Tembo aged 47 of Plot number 1732 Meanwood, Ibex Hill went missing. This occurred on October 24, 2020 around 16 hours,” Mwale said.
Mwale said investigations into the matter and police discovered the body of a Dr Tembo in a decomposed state covered with leaves in Nanking Army Training Centre in Mikango area.
He said the body was temporarily buried at a traditional burial site in Mikango area and is awaiting Post-mortem to be conducted today at the University Teaching Hospital.
Mwale said Police have since launched a manhunt for the suspect and has appealed to members of the public who may have the information of the whereabouts of the suspect to report to any police station.

Terrifying moment, Lusaka woman arrested in connection with abduction of a man from Intercity Bus terminal.



POLICE have arrested a 35 year old woman of Lusaka’s Kuku compound for abduction and attempted murder.

It is reported that on October 22, 2020 around 09:00 hours, Mweeta together with Three men who are currently on the run did abduct Kenny Kabwe aged 23 of Kuku Compound from Intercity Bus terminal and bundled him in the boot of a car belonging to Mweeta who is also known to be a business lady at inter city bus terminal.

Acting Police Spokesperson Danny Mwale has disclosed in a statement to Mwebantu that the victim was taken to Blue water Dam in Kuku Compound where he was beaten before being thrown into the dam.

He said members of the public who were witnessing what was happening took note of the motor vehicle registration number and managed to rescue the victim who was half drowned.

“Kenny, who sustained a fractured left arm, was rushed to the Clinic by people who rescued him before reporting the matter to the police,” Mwale narrated.

He said the suspect was apprehended on Sunday after members of the public tipped police when they saw the same car at a named car park in Kuku Compound.

He said police have since launched a manhunt for the other three suspects and are yet to establish the motive behind the act.
