PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu is today expected in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates on a two-day working visit, to discuss a host of issues of mutual interest.

Speaking in an interview with ZANIS in Abu Dhabi, Foreign Affairs Minister Joseph Malanji said this is the first high level interaction at Head of State level between Zambia and the United Arab Emirates.

Mr. Malanji said Zambia stands to benefit immensely from the UAE since it is a fast-moving economy.

He said during the visit, President Lungu will meet investors from Abu Dhabi Fund for Development and UAE Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Malanji notes that the Head of State will also meet investors in renewable energy as the country looks for a permanent solution to the energy deficit and its over reliance on hydro power generation.

The Foreign Affairs Minister also said President Lungu will also meet investors who have expressed interest in investing in key sectors of Zambia’s economy.

Seer 1 is a fool, it is astonishing that some Zambians find it pleasant to sit, view, download and share his videos, Bowman Lusambo says,

LUSAKA Province Minister Bowman Lusambo says he will personally throw out Seer-1 the day he will step foot in Zambia.

And Lusambo says it is astonishing that some Zambians find it pleasant to sit, view, download and share videos of Seer-1.

In a statement posted on his Facebook page, Lusambo also condemned some political groupings that find it pleasant to be clapping for Seer-1 when he insults Zambian leaders.

“I again warn Andrew that since he claims to have some mystical powers, let him use those same fake powers to enter any part of this great country and he will regret that action for the rest of his life. I will personally throw him into the gallows and throw away the keys,” Lusambo said.

He said it is a greatest betrayal of national patriotism for any citizen to sit and watch the country’s sovereignty being shredded to pieces by a desperate, stranded and stateless individual who fakes miracles to survive.

” I know Andrew is stranded because if he had a home, he would have gone there after being deported from Zambia but he went and sought refuge in South Africa,” said Lusambo.

“But he knows that there is nothing he can do in Nigeria. That land has many great men and women of God who serve the Lord in truth and in spirit. Nigeria is full of great men of God such as Bishop Adeboye and little Andrew knows that he cannot manipulate Nigerias with his fake miracles.”

Lusambo also urged Zambians to realize that they have birthright and expected to all rise up and defend the country when attacked unfairly.

Hakainde Hichilema says the lies by the PF Government on the erratic power supply is a sign of incompetence

UPND Leader Hakainde Hichilema says the continuous lies by the Patriotic Front (PF) Government on the erratic power supply is a sign of incompetence.

Hichilema said the PF have run out of lies to use as excuses for Load shedding of ZESCO electricity power.

“In simple terms, they have run out of power over ZESCO power outages, that is in turn costing struggling businesses, especially small scale entrepreneurs millions of Kwacha every day,” Hichilema said.

“Late last year, PF party announced through its mobilization official, that load shedding would end within six months. Later the story graduated into a new theory of the rate at which water travels from Victoria Falls to the Kariba Dam as being a determing factor, on when load shedding would end.”

He has noted that the intensity of power of outages even increased further, with certain parts of the country being blacked out for more than 14hrs per day for weeks and months on end.

Hichilema said despite the 2019/2020 rain season having been the heaviest in years and water catchment in most of Zambia’s waterways bursting at the seams, he does not understand why load shedding has continued.

“Fellow citizens, this is no longer a factor of how much water is needed to generate electricity, but how much more incompetence of the PF will Zambia put up with,” said Hichilema.
