ZAMBIA’S Ambassador to Ethiopia, His Excellency Emmanuel Mwamba says the introduction of Universal Health care in Zambia has become the bedrock of new private investment in the health sector.
Speaking when he met an Ethiopian investor, Mr. Dessalegn Berhe who in partnership with two American investors, has embarked on investing in the Zambia’s health sector , in particular the construction of a specialized hospital, Mr. Mwamba said the Universal Health Coverage scheme was a clear testimony by Governments to ensure that Zambians had access to quality health care services.
Mr. Mwamba said Government had priotised access to health care services and this could be seen through the massive investment in public health care infrastructure.
Mr. Mwamba said Government welcomed investment in the health sector and invited Mr.Berhe to join the Zambia-Ethiopia Business Forum which is being established to push for partnerships and investment between the two countries.
He said the Business Forum would be private-sector driven and would create a platform for both countries to share trade and investment opportunities existing in both countries.
Mr. Mwamba said there were several benefits of investing in Zambia as it was a land linked , surrounded by eight countries with a wide market access to SADC and COMESA.
And Mr. Berhe said the team had chosen Zambia because it was one of the most attractive investment destination in Africa because of the peace and tranquility that existed in the country.
He said they would invest in a specialized hospital that would attend to complicated medical conditions that are often referred abroad.
He said such a specialized hospital would benefit the sub-region and create health tourism in Zambia.
This according to a statement issued by Mrs. Inutu Mupango Mwanza, First Secretary-Press &Tourism at Zambia Embassy in Addis Ababa.
Seer 1 is a fool, it is astonishing that some Zambians find it pleasant to sit, view, download and share his videos, Bowman Lusambo says,
LUSAKA Province Minister Bowman Lusambo says he will personally throw out Seer-1 the day he will step foot in Zambia.
And Lusambo says it is astonishing that some Zambians find it pleasant to sit, view, download and share videos of Seer-1.
In a statement posted on his Facebook page, Lusambo also condemned some political groupings that find it pleasant to be clapping for Seer-1 when he insults Zambian leaders.
“I again warn Andrew that since he claims to have some mystical powers, let him use those same fake powers to enter any part of this great country and he will regret that action for the rest of his life. I will personally throw him into the gallows and throw away the keys,” Lusambo said.
He said it is a greatest betrayal of national patriotism for any citizen to sit and watch the country’s sovereignty being shredded to pieces by a desperate, stranded and stateless individual who fakes miracles to survive.
” I know Andrew is stranded because if he had a home, he would have gone there after being deported from Zambia but he went and sought refuge in South Africa,” said Lusambo.
“But he knows that there is nothing he can do in Nigeria. That land has many great men and women of God who serve the Lord in truth and in spirit. Nigeria is full of great men of God such as Bishop Adeboye and little Andrew knows that he cannot manipulate Nigerias with his fake miracles.”
Lusambo also urged Zambians to realize that they have birthright and expected to all rise up and defend the country when attacked unfairly.
Hakainde Hichilema says the lies by the PF Government on the erratic power supply is a sign of incompetence
UPND Leader Hakainde Hichilema says the continuous lies by the Patriotic Front (PF) Government on the erratic power supply is a sign of incompetence.
Hichilema said the PF have run out of lies to use as excuses for Load shedding of ZESCO electricity power.
“In simple terms, they have run out of power over ZESCO power outages, that is in turn costing struggling businesses, especially small scale entrepreneurs millions of Kwacha every day,” Hichilema said.
“Late last year, PF party announced through its mobilization official, that load shedding would end within six months. Later the story graduated into a new theory of the rate at which water travels from Victoria Falls to the Kariba Dam as being a determing factor, on when load shedding would end.”
He has noted that the intensity of power of outages even increased further, with certain parts of the country being blacked out for more than 14hrs per day for weeks and months on end.
Hichilema said despite the 2019/2020 rain season having been the heaviest in years and water catchment in most of Zambia’s waterways bursting at the seams, he does not understand why load shedding has continued.
“Fellow citizens, this is no longer a factor of how much water is needed to generate electricity, but how much more incompetence of the PF will Zambia put up with,” said Hichilema.
