Book on President Edgar Lungu goes on google books after ‘exclusive books ’ South Africa

WITH less than a fortnight remaining before Zambian bookstores host President Edgar Lungu’s book by award winning former Editor in Chief Anthony Mukwita, ‘Google’ the largest search engine in the world has added the political thriller on its widely followed ‘Google Books’ according to the publishers Partridge Africa. “Your book ‘Against all Odds’ featuring President Edgar Lungu, the Zambian head of state is now on Google Books which is the largest family of readers in the world with 50 million members,” the publishers wrote Mr Mukwita.

Zambian literature lovers and followers of contemporary political history will get their own taste of ‘against all odds’, President Edgar Lungu’s rough journey to State House no later than 20th March in all eleven Book world Bookstores in Zambia. Ten copies are now being given out for in a month long raffle by the largely followed ‘GoodReads’ that has about 50 millions book lovers that do independent intellectual reviews on important books after reading them. At press time, the ‘GoodReads’Google raffle that started twelve hours ago had attracted 146 readers outstripping the 10 copies of the books available in the sizzling hot month long raffle. Is it? A leading Zambian newspaper is discussing a potential agreement to distribute the book country-wide end of this month with the award winning author Mukwita.

Publisher estimates show that the book will hit the New York Times ‘bestseller list’ in less than six months, this means selling just 20,000 copies, given the huge orders the book is getting in ore sales already. The literature world has been intrigued by Edgar Lungu’s tenacious race to State House especially as masterly told by Anthony Mukwita in his first book as a Zambian author.
